Thalaivi is a 2021 Indian biographical drama film based on the life of Indian actress-politician J. Jayalalithaa. The film stars Kangana Ranaut that too in the role of Jayalalithaa ji and Arvind Swami that too in the role of M. G. Ramachandran ji.
Filmed simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi, it is directed by AL Vijay and written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, Madan Karki (Tamil), and Rajat Arora (Hindi).
Thalaivi is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh of Vibri Motion Pictures and Karma Media & Entertainment respectively. The film also stars Nassar, Bhagyashree, Raj Arjun, Madhu, Jisshu Sengupta, Thambi Ramaiah, Shamna Kasim and Samuthirakani in supporting roles. Talk about this trailer, the first point I did notice was that the first look of the film was released on 23 November. Its trailer released on 23 March and the film is going to be released. May 30 may be on my marriage anniversary; Kangana may have considered her birthday date a bit too lucky.
